Lighting and Texturing Tests So Far...

This is my current scene:

These are all on going, it's just what I've been up to the last few days. Coming along nicely though :D

  1. Nice! The light fog adds a real punch to the scene. Early days I know, but the caustic effect on the floor looks a little bit repetitive/grid like at the moment. Shouldn't take much to break it up.

I think the statue could and should look really spectacular when fully light and textured. It Reminds me of statues that are dotted about in Bioshock.

    Looking forward to it!

    1. Thank you Tom! I completely agree with the caustic affect, and I'm glad you like my figurehead! I really wanted it to have that kind of unsettling, watchful feel to it so I'm really happy it's kind of coming across.

Looking forward to texturing her next too! :D

    2. I agree, the statue is beautiful; can't wait to see her textured.

I rather like the individual purple beam of light that's lighting the cauldron. I'd suggest rotating the basin clam a bit to be more head on to the camera, right now it feels at too much of an angle and kind of juxtaposes the perspective / horizon line a little.

Well done on the lighting though, just start populating and texturing the scene! :D
