@Phil, Question on Summer Project...

I've given myself a bit of a mental block for some reason and I thought I'd just ask your opinion quick.
Do you think I should continue developing the characters I have at the moment and see where that goes or take a different route? My confidence has gone a bit so any advice and/or direction pointing would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance! :)

  1. umm - this is one of those questions I'm unwilling to answer - not because I'm trying to be unhelpful, but rather because it's at moments like these that you need to reflect on your own working and come to an understanding how to move things on conceptually and creatively. It may simply be that you've arrived at the stage where the inspiration part is over, and now the real work of finessing a character - taking towards refinement and completion - feels like a bit of drudge. Perhaps this is where you need to create professional character sheets and properly commit to your designs. However, it may also be that your first burst of creativity was simply that - a reaction - and actually, your interest has waned because you've already moved on to different territories. Which is it, Molly? And what are you going to do about it?

  2. Thanks for your response! I'm not sure really. I think the next couple of days will be important in deciding which it is. I'll sit down and draw details of the characters, listen to my soundscape and see how I feel after that. If I'm not moved by it all then maybe I'll try something else entirely.
