Dream Cleaners Intro *with SFX*...

I've got two versions, the first has lots of extra sound effects:

The second has none until the end:

I'm not sure which I prefer. It's important that I don't add anything unnecessary because I like the characters to speak for themselves with the music...so probably the second one really. Let me know what you think though! :)

  2. Hey Molly,

Hmmm - I smiled a lot when Alistair got booed...

In terms of sound effects, I liked both - or at least, I didn't dislike the first one. I wonder if you could find some 'whoosh' sfx and similar sounds to accompany them turning around and when they wave - a tinkle of bells for when Clarissa spins - that sort of thing, and maybe even a soundbed for when they become a still - it just feels like there might be room for a bit more augmentation of that kind here too. Worth a try if you've got the time.

Also, re. the end, when the ensemble shot sort of whizzes off into the background - I wonder if maybe the camera should in fact whizz over the heads of the ensemble, and that the 'Dream Cleaners' logo should, in spatial terms be a bit further behind the ensemble of the characters, so we first fly over their heads, and then we fly past the logo - just a bit of separation to create some further dynamism?

Finally, I'm not entirely sold on that purple background for the ensemble shot, I don't know about anyone else, but I'd like to see some additional choices - I know, I'm pesky! :(

    1. Hey Phil! No that all sounds good! I still have time to try all these suggestions so I'll have a go over the next few days and see what comes out :)

  3. oh also - it does seem a shame that Walter's right eye is so totally hidden - I understand why Flossy is hanging back, but Walter is looking a bit shy and unsure here because he's partially occluded - anything you can do to re-shuffle him?

  4. Hey Molly, this stuff is looking really good. Very professional. I'd tend to agree with Phil about the sound effects. The second version feels a little empty to me compared to the first. Some incedental sound (rather than laughter) can add a lot. Have you seen the Mike the Knight opening sequence - might be a good example.
