Got your email. Forwarded it. Not ignoring you, just felt you probably had it in you to get things moving and make some executive decisions. I also saw that Katy had posted a number of updates soon afterwards and it seems as if the monsters are coming along - and look, you have a town now - but just a quick observation; obviously you're film is set in the 50s, so maybe look for some iconic shapes and signage that can help you reflect that era in the facades of your buildings:

Also - and don't hate me - but maybe your car needs to be more obviously a 50s shape? Unless I'm mistaken and its set in the UK?
