First Final Piece attempt, Feedback please!

I've done a criss-cross pattern on some of the lighting and shadows because I want it to look as if it's been chipped away at by someone.  I'm not sure if it works and I haven't done enough to the farthest point on the background but I'm pretty happy with it so far.
However! I need feedback because I want it to be a strong image so feel free to criticise it as long as it's constructive! :D

  1. Hey Molly - compositionally, this image works, but a couple of things that don't yet - one, the shadows around the base of the table seem very imprecise and spongy - I suggest you consider making them the same way you approached the cavern itself - strong, defined shapes, that taper elegantly - they should be a rich black too. Also - and no doubt you're on this already - but the details of the table and the bodies etc. just need bringing out with more lighting; again, this area feels spongy and less satisfying than the way in which the environment has been rendered; it just feels as if you need to use the same technique throughout to ensure your image gels.
