Dream Cleaners Intro Tweaks...

It's definitely new and improved :)

Let me know what you think! :D

  1. Hey Molly - this is really feeling like television now :) I don't know about you but I think the gradient effect is really helping - just gives depth and a sense of space. I think the wipe that concludes Nigel's segment is missing a sound? Also, why not consider having a sound identity for the 'whoosh' of the logo's entrance/exit - and a 'whoosh' for the camera move itself? Also - the actual ident always ends very abruptly - no sooner have the stars wiped off the logo, the clip finishes - how about just giving yourself a few more second on the back end to take away that feeling that the ident just ran out of time. You know, I think there might also be an argument to create a sound identity for the arrival of each of the character's names as they appear - again, this is all teeny tiny stuff, but your ident is already much more exuberant...

I do have one other suggestion - which you are treat reflectively, because it's in no way an instruction; as I watched this, I could almost hear some wonderful female voice over artist just saying the names of your characters in a smiley, CBeebies way - and if there was time, and you could get someone with the right qualities, it might just be worth giving it a go... but please, this is icing on an already iced cake, so don't fly into action or take your eye off more important balls! :)

    1. Hey Phil! Yeah, it's starting to feel like a proper intro now :D All these suggestions may all seem teeny but the difference they make when they work is really big! I can already see it with this newer version. I'll get the turnaround files ready to go and then I'll hop back in a little later to see what tweaks I can make to the sounds.

Also, I think a voice over could be really nice addition but that will probably be something I look into post-hand in. It may not be necessary to the success of the piece but I like the idea for sure. Thanks for the feedback Phil! :)

  2. They look awesome molly! :D This looks like a real show to me already. There's only one thing I've noticed, none of the characters blink? Nigel does a sort of a blink but I am not sure how you would make the rest blink considering their eyes are textured. Maybe animate the texture? Anyhow, you can always work on it afterwards if you have no time :)

    1. Thanks Andi! :D Yeah the characters weren't rigged to be animated really so none of them have blinks. They were only supposed to be still trading cards but I had the time and knew that they wouldn't need to blink as their animations would only be very short. If I were to move forward and animate more I'd definitely go back and rig a blink in but for this project's purpose I'll leave it to the side :)
